• The Project

Community Benefit

As part of our initial consultation, we will be looking to gather information on the needs of the local community and how we can best support the community in the medium and long term.

A community benefit fund will be set up, and the distribution of funds will be determined by the community in line with the RESS 2 requirements on Community Benefit Funds.

The Wind and Solar Park

The proposed Wind and Solar Park will help Ireland reach our country’s Climate Action Plan 2025 objectives. By harnessing renewable energy, this development will help reduce carbon emissions, displacing thousands of tonnes of carbon dioxide throughout its operational lifetime. Additionally, it will help lead to affordable electricity and enhanced energy security.

This project incorporates the benefits of hybrid technology to enhance performance, but it does not include battery energy storage (BESS).

Nature

The Foxhall Energy team is dedicated to placing nature at the heart of our decision‑making. We prioritise the protection of local ecosystems and biodiversity in everything we do, ensuring our work contributes positively to the landscape and the communities around it.

As the project moves toward a planning submission, technical and environmental assessments are undertaken, all of which contribute to the preparation of a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR). This report outlines the measures we will take to avoid, reduce, or offset potential environmental effects.

The EIAR gives us a clear picture of how a project could impact local wildlife and habitats, helping us address issues early. By using it to shape our decisions, we show that we’re serious about protecting nature and planning for a more sustainable future.

Who is Foxhall Energy?

The project is being developed by Foxhall Energy Limited. Foxhall Energy is a wholly Irish company with offices in Cork and in Dublin. The project team is highly skilled and knowledgeable with a huge amount of experience, specific to rural Ireland. The project team has a proven history of working successfully in partnership with developers, landowners, and communities to promote sustainable energy sources.

Foxhall Energy Limited is owned by the Temporis Aurora Fund, whose investors include the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), and our purpose is to harness Ireland’s vast wind energy potential to accelerate and deliver Ireland’s transition to a clean, sustainable, low-carbon energy system. The Fund is dedicated exclusively to the development of renewable energy projects in Ireland and the involvement of ISIF gives the people of Ireland a direct stake in our future success. We are passionate about developing our projects in a sustainable way.

At Foxhall Energy we work closely with local communities and key stakeholders, to ensure their views are heard to maximise the positive impact our projects have on the communities where we operate.
